Raised along the gentle shores of the Salish Sea, on Coast Salish Territories, I’ve always been Inspired by the beauty and resilience of the human spirit, the body, and the natural world.
I first came to this work as a herbalist over 12 years ago. My fascination in plant medicine led me to seek out traditional healing ways, through a sense that sometimes we need to look backwards to pave new paths forward. And this is how I came to Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. The depth and beauty of these traditional sciences have managed to occupy much of my curiosity and provide endless fodder for my bookworm sensibilities.
Other chapters of my journey involve a Masters Degree in Cultural, Social and Political thought, as well as many years spent in the urban agriculture and activist communities in Victoria. Much of my work as an acupuncturist and herbalist is informed by my studies of trauma with Somatic Experiencing Trainings and self study, thus safety and consent are at the heart of my work.
